Should you ever need a factory repair, here's how to do it:

1. Call or e-mail us for an RA number.  This will help us identify your unit when it arrives at the factory.  You can also send us the unit without an RA number, but be sure to follow step 6 very carefully.

2. Send us only the power amplifier assembly.  The cabinet can easily become damaged in shipping unless you have the original carton in good condition.  Local packing stores can pack the cabinet, but it is expensive, and there can still be damage.  It will also cost more for the return shipping charges

3. Remove the detachable line cord from the amplifier panel.  The power amplifier assembly is the black panel and all the parts that are attached to it. Place the cabinet face down on a carpeted floor.  Remove the screws from around the edge of the panel.  Pull the assembly a few inches away from the back of the cabinet so you can see the green circuit board.

4. There are three wires connecting to the main circuit board. Make a note of where they go so you can get them back in the right place later.  (For current units, the red / white leads go to the Woofer, the violet / gray leads go to the Tweeter, and the Red / Black go to the front panel light.)

5. Put the assembly in a cardboard shipping carton.  Any cardboard box in good condition will do.  Cushion the amplifier assembly on all sides, including several inches of material on the bottom of the box.  Plastic peanuts, bubble wrap, and soft foam are good.  Balled up newspaper works well, and it's free.  Don't be afraid to use plenty of cushioning.  Use a large box and lots of packing to be sure the black panel doesn't get bent during shipping.

6. Put a page INSIDE THE SHIPPING CARTON with your return address, phone number, and brief description of the problem.  To be sure, tape the page to the amplifier panel.  We will test the unit carefully to determine the malfunction, but your report will be helpful to us in making an effective repair.  The page inside the box is important because most shipping services remove your return address and replace it with their store address.

7. Our minimum repair charge is a flat rate of $45, plus return shipping.  All repairs are returned COD for repair costs and freight.  We will ship by UPS Ground service.  In the event that a major component is damaged, there may be an additional charge for that component.  All repairs have a warrantee for 90 days for the original problem as shown on the repair report
